YOUNG AMERICANS FOR FREEDOM

The Young Americans for Freedom chapter at Texas A&M University was founded in the fall of 2016. Established on the eternal principles of moral liberty, personal responsibility, and economic self-determination, our chapter combines the definitive student wing of the conservative movement, of which the likes of Ronald Reagan, William F. Buckley, and Ben Shapiro were closely associated, and the unparalleled tradition of Texas A&M. Over the past three years, our chapter has grown to almost 50 members, nearly 40 of which joined in the 2018-2019 academic year.

The events held by YAF are far from "normal" events and have taught me a great deal in regards to the safety of the client and attendees of an event.

There is a great deal of facility management at goes into planning large YAF events, specifically, those hosting political or social figures. Many stakeholders are involved such as UCEN, Rudder Theatre, UPD, and the staff and security of the speaker. These events are always off learning opportunities for all and as an event coordinator I see the value in facility management and preparation due to many of these events put on by YAF.
