EHRD 613 - Career Development in HRD

During the Career Development course, I was introduced to the concept of career development intervention critique. This was also a time I was introduced to group research proposals and creating an annotated bibliography. What common core values between different groups of people or organizations connect and drive our behaviors? It was questions such as these that allowed our group during this course to rethink our personal view of HRD and broaden our perspective towards even an international level.

It was during this course, our group was able to research and critique the impact of changes in our global standing. The global standing is relevant to the ability to increase career development. As HRD learners, I understand that advantages and disadvantages lie in all countries' HRD practices but, the most effective methods of international career development rest in the heart of HRD.

With the attached assignment we had chosen to explore  international HRD compared to that in the states. Our research analyzes the differences in training and management practices between Europe and America to discover the various ways that training, and career development are able to grow and improve the field of HRD. We then evaluated the advantages of successful training practices in European countries to indicate the most effective methods of international career development in HRD.

Regardless of your location our paper indicated that weather your in Europe or the U.S., we see the value in the psychological understanding of career development and its connection to HRD.
