EHRD 684 Professional Internship

Event Coordinator III Training Program

The purpose of this training program is to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate a training program for the Event Coordinator III position at the University Center and Special Events at Texas A&M. The position currently has no formal training or implementation process. After speaking with supervisors and stakeholders, the training objectives include greater retention of knowledge, standardized workplace practices, and reference material to which those in the position can relate back to when needed.

I have followed the 10-Part Training plan below and completed the following analysis to connect the results back to the business needs. I then created a variety of pre-tests, pre-surveys, post-tests, and post surveys for both the participants of the training and those supervisors and stakeholders involved. With the help of my experience from the EHRD Masters program, I have successfully engaged in career development practices, organizational development, critical thinking and analysis, and related all training back to the desired business needs.

This project has taught me humility and allowed me to apply every teaching I have had within this program towards the development of this training program. I have learned more about the "human" behind human resource training and development and have gained a passion far beyond what I ever thought I could in regards to career. I am honored and humbled at the fact that Universit Center and Special Events have now adopted multiple training programs I have implemented, including the Event Coordinator III training.
